Vince has over 30 years experience in the hands-on planning, programming, design, construction, and operation of data centers. He has spearheaded the application of High Reliability Organizations parameters into data center operations. As the former CTO for the Uptime Institute, Vince has experience in applying the necessary rigors of data center design, construction, and operation into global solutions. Vince is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer.
Hank Seader’s career spans the engineering, development, and operations of corporate enterprise, governmental, and educational critical facilities. Based on years of critical facilities operation, Hank developed the structure and application of the Uptime Institute Data Center Tier Classification system, and authored the original Uptime Institute Standard: Topology and Commentary to foster broader understanding of the Tier concepts. Hank developed the original curriculum for the Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) course. Hank is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a Master's Degree in engineering from Stanford University. Hank is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer.
David Humphrey has over 32 years of experience working all aspects of critical facilities including project manager for the design/construct for several large data centers. As a former Director for the Uptime Institute, David co-authored the Uptime Institute Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability, developed/taught the Accredited Tier Specialist Course, and created the protocols for both the Operational Sustainability Certification and Management and Operations Stamp of Approval. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Air Force Institute of Technology and is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer.
Rick Schuknecht has nearly 20 years of experience in critical facility management and operations with over 40 years of experience in senior operations related management positions. He is a subject matter expert in critical facility staffing, maintenance management, training, operating practices and in high reliability organizations. Rick has filled varied roles including Global Executive - Uptime Institute Network, Managing Principal - EYP Mission Critical Facilities, Vice President - CBRE Global Critical Environments and First Vice President - Bank One Critical Facilities. Rick co-authored the Uptime Institute Tier Standard: Operational Sustainability and supported the development of the Accredited Tier Specialist curriculum. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and is retired from a 28-year Navy career.
